Why Your Choice Matters
Cleaner Air
By choosing Volta, you're reducing direct emissions in your compound and community. Even though electricity generation produces some emissions, it's significantly cleaner than burning fuel directly in your vehicle.
Forest Equivalent
The CO₂ you save over 5 years is equivalent to planting and maintaining 75 trees for one year. That's a small forest working to clean the air!
Zero Direct Emissions
Volta produces zero tailpipe emissions. This means no harmful pollutants are released directly into the air where you and your family live, creating a healthier environment in your compound.
Sustainable Future
As Egypt's electricity grid becomes cleaner with more renewable energy, your Volta will automatically become even more environmentally friendly without any changes to your vehicle.
Calculation Methodology
How we calculate environmental impact
Fuel Vehicle Emissions
Based on 8 liters per 100 km fuel consumption (typical for small vehicles/golf carts) and 2.3 kg CO₂ per liter of gasoline burned. This includes direct combustion emissions.
Volta EV Emissions
Based on 72V 150Ah battery for 90 km range and Egypt's grid carbon intensity of 0.53 kg CO₂ per kWh. These are indirect emissions from electricity generation, not direct vehicle emissions.
Environmental Equivalents
Tree absorption: One mature tree absorbs approximately 21 kg CO₂ per year. Car-free days: Based on average car emissions of 4.6 kg CO₂ per day of typical use.
Note: Actual emissions may vary based on driving conditions, maintenance, energy sources, and other factors. These calculations provide estimates for comparison purposes.
